Prayer from Psalm 138

Father, thank you.  Teach me how to be thankful with all of my heart.  May I take time today to sing of Your praises.  You've given me so many reasons to be thankful.  I'm not sure I'm always filled with generosity towards You.  Change that in me.  Let me beam with gratitude for all You've done around me.

Thank you for...

my family,

my friends,

my church,

my home,

my things,

my job,

my spaces to live and work in,

Thank you for all of this!

Amen

Prayer from Revelation 1:4-8

Jesus, you are: the one who is, who always was,  and who is still to come. Jesus, you are: the faithful witness, the first to rise from the dead,  and ruler of all the kings of the world. Jesus, you are: the one who loves us and has freed us from our sins, You have made us a kingdom of priests for God. All glory and power to You forever. Amen

Prayer from Colossians 3:21

Father, thank you for gently and patiently parenting me.   Thank you for waiting on me.  Thank you for always being there for me no matter what.   Thank you for your unconditional love for me. Now, I want to ask you to help me do this with my children. - To be gentle with them - To be patient with them. - To always be there for them.   - To unconditionally love them. I pray this in your name, amen.
