Prayer from Mark 9:35

Father, help me to keep a servant-attitude.  May I see no task, no matter how big or small, as being beneath me.  Grant me a good attitude when I'm asked to help but I'm busy and rushed for time.  Check me if I'm not assuming the posture of a servant, not just on the outside, but on the inside as well.  May I find great joy in rolling up my sleeves and getting my hands dirty.  May I find healing for my wounds in helping to serve someone else.  I pray this servant life transform me to look a little more like Jesus.

Amen

Mark 9:35 NIV

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all."

Prayer from Revelation 1:4-8

Jesus, you are: the one who is, who always was,  and who is still to come. Jesus, you are: the faithful witness, the first to rise from the dead,  and ruler of all the kings of the world. Jesus, you are: the one who loves us and has freed us from our sins, You have made us a kingdom of priests for God. All glory and power to You forever. Amen

Prayer from Colossians 3:21

Father, thank you for gently and patiently parenting me.   Thank you for waiting on me.  Thank you for always being there for me no matter what.   Thank you for your unconditional love for me. Now, I want to ask you to help me do this with my children. - To be gentle with them - To be patient with them. - To always be there for them.   - To unconditionally love them. I pray this in your name, amen.
