Prayer from Luke 21:36

Father, thank you for this day of thanksgiving.

Would You help me today to be mindful of what's going on around and in me.  Am I truly thankful?  May I bring whatever is tossing around in my mind sincerely before You and Your throne.  Allow me to hold on to what I need to and let go of what I don't.  There's great freedom in Your presence.

Would You help my heart not grow weary in seeking You, Your Kingdom, and doing good to others.  May I make it a priority to pursue You in prayer each and every day.  That's living in true thankfulness.  Allow me to learn more about You as we fellowship together through prayer.  Be on my mind each day Lord.

Amen

Luke 21:36

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

Prayer from Revelation 1:4-8

Jesus, you are: the one who is, who always was,  and who is still to come. Jesus, you are: the faithful witness, the first to rise from the dead,  and ruler of all the kings of the world. Jesus, you are: the one who loves us and has freed us from our sins, You have made us a kingdom of priests for God. All glory and power to You forever. Amen

Prayer from Mark 10:46-52

Father, help me to so desire You and Your healing in my life that I don't care who notices my cries for You or who tries to shut me up.  Thank you for the example in Bartimaeus.  He threw off all retraint when he heard You were near.   He wanted healing.   He beleived You could do it.   He had faith.   Help me today to not be afraid to cry out to You in my weakness.  You are near.  You are ready to respond.   Amen

Prayer from Luke 1:68-79

Heavenly Father, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them. 69  He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David 70  (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), 71  salvation from our enemies      and from the hand of all who hate us— 72  to show mercy to our ancestors      and to remember his holy covenant, 73       the oath he swore to our father Abraham: 74  to rescue us from the hand of our enemies,      and to enable us to serve him without fear     in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;  for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation       through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tend...
