Prayer from Philippians 4:4-7

Heavenly Father,  Help me today to find moments to rejoice in what I see You doing.  May I see Your kingdom breaking into our world and praise Your Name.     Help me to be gentle with those closest to me, as I am with everyone else I encounter.   Help me to give You any burdens I carry today.  May I speak my heart to You.    May I receive Your peace as I trust in You.   Thank you for being You. Amen

Prayer from Luke 3:1-6

Father, Your word comes to all of us.   May we receive it as obediently as John.   By Your words, may we seek to call people to live committed to You. By Your words, may we seek to make the path to You clear. By Your words, may we prepare hearts for Your arrival.   Amen

Prayer from Philippians 3:3-11

Father, thank you for sending us Your Son.  Thank you for making Yourself known to us.  Thank you for loving us.   Because of Your great love, we can truly know You and be known by You. Help us to look for You in our moments of joy. Help us to look for You in our moments of pain. Help us to look for You in our moments of boredom.     May everything around us loosen its hold on our lives as we turn and look for You.  May we be able to count everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing You. Amen
