Prayer from Philippians 3:3-11

Father, thank you for sending us Your Son.  Thank you for making Yourself known to us.  Thank you for loving us.  

Because of Your great love, we can truly know You and be known by You.

Help us to look for You in our moments of joy.

Help us to look for You in our moments of pain.

Help us to look for You in our moments of boredom.    

May everything around us loosen its hold on our lives as we turn and look for You.  May we be able to count everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing You.

Amen

Now, I want to ask you to help me do this with my children. - To be gentle with them - To be patient with them. - To always be there for them.   - To unconditionally love them. I pray this in your name, amen.
