Prayer from 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we all, who with unvelieved faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which come from the Lord, who is the Spirit.   Amen

Prayer from Psalm 99

Father, may the other nations praise You.  May they recognize You as God of the universe.  Soften hearts.  Change minds.   Send me.  May I realize I'm not far from Your mission field.  It's outside my front door and everywhere I go.   Send me.    May I go in Your power and boldness.  Allow me to see beyond my work to Your kingdom work. Amen

Prayer from Luke 6:31

Father, help me to live in such a way that others around me, friend or foe, benefit from my presence in some way.  It could be in my attitude, a smile, a kind word, giving a gift, offering praise, and in my noticing of others.  May I take the posture of doing to others what I would want done to me. Amen

Prayer from Genesis 45:3-15

Father, in those moments where I'm mistreated, and maybe even hated, may I see an opportunity for Your love to break through.  Like Joseph, when the tables turn, may I work with You to save life and not seek revenge.  Thank you for working through me to love others, even my enemies.  This is how love is made perfect in my heart. Amen

Prayer from Luke 6:20-22

Father, help me see the availability of Your kingdom to anyone.  It doesn't matter our current state, we can be blessed because You have come to us and offer us Your kingdom.  Help me to be a bearer of Your blessings to those without hope. Amen

Prayer from Psalm 1

Heavenly Father, thank you for providing the way for us.  Let me see Your blessings all around me as I seek to follow Your way.  Fill my mind with Your words.  May they stay in my mind all day.  May my heart see the law of the LORD as good news.  Good news that establishes me in Your path.  Good news that produces a crop of love towards those around me.   Amen

Prayer from Psalm 138

Father, thank you.  Teach me how to be thankful with all of my heart.  May I take time today to sing of Your praises.  You've given me so many reasons to be thankful.  I'm not sure I'm always filled with generosity towards You.  Change that in me.  Let me beam with gratitude for all You've done around me.   Thank you for... my family, my friends, my church,  my home,  my things, my job, my spaces to live and work in, Thank you for all of this! Amen
