Prayer from Philippians 3:17-4:1

Forgiving Father, 

May I not live as an enemy of Christ.  

Forgive me for doing so.

May I not allow my stomach to be my god.  

Forgive me for doing so.

May I not allow myself to find glory in shame.

Forgive me for doing so.

May I not set my mind on earthly things.  

Forgive me for doing so.  

Amen

Prayer from Mark 10:46-52

Father, help me to so desire You and Your healing in my life that I don't care who notices my cries for You or who tries to shut me up.  Thank you for the example in Bartimaeus.  He threw off all retraint when he heard You were near.   He wanted healing.   He beleived You could do it.   He had faith.   Help me today to not be afraid to cry out to You in my weakness.  You are near.  You are ready to respond.   Amen
