Prayer from Mark 12:29-31

Father, my prayer today is... Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this:  Love your neighbor as yourself. Amen

Prayer from Mark 10:46-52

Father, help me to so desire You and Your healing in my life that I don't care who notices my cries for You or who tries to shut me up.  Thank you for the example in Bartimaeus.  He threw off all retraint when he heard You were near.   He wanted healing.   He beleived You could do it.   He had faith.   Help me today to not be afraid to cry out to You in my weakness.  You are near.  You are ready to respond.   Amen

Prayer from Psalm 126

Psalm 126 A song of ascents. 1  When the  Lord  restored the fortunes of Zion,      we were like those who dreamed. 2  Our mouths were filled with laughter,      our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations,      “The  Lord  has done great things for them.” 3  The  Lord  has done great things for us,      and we are filled with joy. 4  Restore our fortunes,  Lord ,      like streams in the Negev. 5  Those who sow with tears      will reap with songs of joy. 6  Those who go out weeping,      carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy,      carrying sheaves with them. Amen

Prayer from Job 42:1-6

Heavenly Father, I long to see You in the way Job did.  Though our minds can be full of You, it's not through our minds that we reach You.  It's Your grace.  Allow me to know when I'm trying to speak of You without truly knowing You.   Job 42:3 , Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wornderful for me to know.   Father, help me to listen.  You are the greatest listener there is and have set a high bar.  I have so much to learn from You.  It's by Your grace I will hear You speak.    Job 42:4 , You said, "Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me." Father, may I behold Your presence in and around me.  May I realize the grace to be found in You.  May I come into this knowledge through Your Son Jesus.  Like Job, I believe if I see you it will lead to me despising myself.  I believe I will want to change my selfish ways for Your other-oriented love.  Help me today t...

Prayer from Hebrews 4:14-16

Father, through Your Son Jesus, I can connect to You.  I'm so thankful for this connection.  May I continually come to You with my burdens.  Thank you for inviting us to come before You.   I'm doing just that this morning.  I bring my wife to You.  You know our situation.  You know what we are going through.  You know our fears.  You know our emotions.  I give all of this to You.  In return, would You give us grace to persevere?  Would You give Trina healing?  Thank you for the peace You've given her.  Would You continue to give her peace?  Would You also give our children peace too?  Would they see You at work and give You praise?   I'm searching for mercy and grace from You to help us in our time of need.       Amen Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Prayer from Psalm 90:14

Father, satisfy us in the morning with your unfailiing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.   Amen Psalm 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,     that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

Prayer from Job 23:1-17

Father, like Job, I admit there are times when it's hard to know what You're up to or feel Your presence.  I imagine this is where Job is speaking from in Job 23.  There are times where I'm searching for answers in the dark, rather than searching for You.   Correct me, Spirit that brings forth God's light.   There are also those times where I'm not sure if it's the darkness of our enemy, the world, others, or myself that has me pinned down and confused. Forgive me, Spirit that brings forth God's light. May I grow in child-like faith in these moments.  I pray I would pray when I don't want to pray.  Like Job, may I not be silenced by the darkness around me.  May I turn to You, the Light of the World.     Heal me, Spirit that brings forth God's light.   Amen Job 23:17 Yet I am not silenced by the darkness, by the thick darkness that covers my face.
